Audio & Visual

Confrontations between police and the people of Cochabamba, Bolivia over the fate of the city’s water supply resulted in scores of injuries and the death of a young “water warrior.” Eventually, the Bechtel subsidiary which was privatizing the water system was forced to leave the country, and the water remains under public control today.Photo: Tom Kruse

We will eventually attend to this page when the need to store audio/visual data here.  As the site is still in an experimental mode and as the size of this type of information may be prohibitive with this current platform we are leaving it last.

This video is a terrific way to transmit a problem and its importance within the context of communal autonomy.  Water is a primary resource for any life, plant or animal. The control of clean water is the ultimate form in absolute necessity.  In an environment such as the highlands of Peru and Bolivia there is not much one can do without water other than submit to the authority of those who control it.  Such an authority is most likely to abuse this relationship to its maximum extent.

An other video we discovered that really is amazing, titled "She is Alive" will take your breath away and maybe provide you with a good reason to struggle for the benefit of future generations.  Enjoy!
